The Story Behind Ever Elegant
Ever Elegant began with Helena Buxton’s passion for helping mature women feel confident, elegant, and beautifully dressed for life’s most important occasions.
Originally founded in East Malvern as a custom dressmaking business, Helena brings more than 30 years of experience in bridal, racewear, and occasionwear design and fitting.
After years of hearing women say, “There’s nowhere to buy beautiful outfits for mature women,” Helena created Ever Elegant — a boutique dedicated to stylish, age-appropriate fashion for mothers of the bride, mothers of the groom, and wedding guests across Melbourne and Australia.
Today, Helena personally travels overseas to source exclusive designer collections from the UK and Europe, carefully selecting elegant styles that offer comfort, sophistication, and flattering fit for real women.

I was looking for an outfit to wear to my son's wedding and approached Ever Elegant with trepidation! I expected my outing to end in tears of frustration and a failed trip to Melbourne! But, Helena was fantastic and my first expedition to my first shop ended instead in happy tears! A perfect dress and jacket was found- slight alterations arranged and a promise to mail my garment soon. 8 days after shopping my outfit arrived by mail and fitted perfectly!
